Got my shifter bolted up to the trans.,reverse rod is to short and only have 4 threads on 1st and 2nd shift rod at shifter.Reverse does not matter because I`m going to make a separate lever for it because NHRA says you have to be able to lock reverse out.Have to wait until I can find a big spline trans, which I am going to use anyway, where the shifter bolts a little further forward which should take care of 1st & 2nd gear rod.

Drove it 250 miles to pick up a Mavrick front bumper. Went to bolt it on for the drive home and the Comet holes didn't line up. Oh well, threw it inside and time to drill some new holes today

took it out for a ride on the trailer across town just to get it out for a while (retarded I know but I dont want it to get sick of staying in the garage lol)

then came home and did a little burn out and left it in the driveway to eat dinner. came back out HOURS later after forgetting I hadnt put it away yet. (10:45pm :naughty: ) when I went to back it in the garage I couldnt figure out why it felt so heavy and didnt want to move. I checked the ebrake and it wasnt that so there was only one other thing (since all of the brakes are new) I had a flat tire on the front. the dang tire came off the bead and the rim was rubbing the driveway so I had to leave it in the driveway all night for the first time in years.

I backed it up against the garage door and parked my sons comet up against it to block it in

Took the plastic out of the quarter panel moldings then deanodized them. Then polished them out, and reinstalled the plastic rub strips. Now only four more to go.
