Those look good. I've kinda thought about mounting those in the valance like a 69-70 Shelby. But going back and looking at pics of 69 Shelbys, they look out of place.

A 70-72 bumper with a 73 valance would give you the room to do it, but I agree, they look out of place.

Jeff: Please center your Maverick grille emblem with the horizontal cross-hair in your sportlamp. :D

Last night I got my kid's Maverick running. :yahoo: He just picked up a 70...250 l6, auto trans, 8" rear end, factory ac car (missing all the underhood ac of course). Got the rear bumper and valance taken off of my car, and put on his. Got a couple side marker lights put in, and installed end caps I had lying around. Of course, he did have to help with all of that :rofl2:

Drove my Maverick about ten miles to get my hair cut. It ran and drove good, and got a lot of looks, and thumbs up. :)

Bungee corded a 1 gallon gas can in place of the gas tank in my son's car, and took it for a test drive. I am actually really impressed with that little 250ci. I think he will really enjoy it!

Bent up the last of my fuel line and the last fitting arrived.. , 26 bucks for the final fitting :( going to grab some gas on th way home tomorrow and put it in the tank see it it does.. (Hopefully didn't break the solder around the tank tube when I flared it) I have a list of about 15 more things to do before I drive.. Of course each one take forever, hopefully I can rope the windows in this weekend since Monday is a holiday; first ever rope in attempt, learned from YouTube.

My girlfriend and I roped in the windshield, it went well except the two upper corners. I was very nervous, had to use a plastic tool and work them in slowly. I think having someone to help is a good idea...

Just got a new set of tires on the front end alignment. And I'm going to do the brakes and hopefully soon a new engine for it.

Drove it to work, like everyday... found some of my dad's old CD's from the 80's last weekend while helping him move stuff around in his garage, so been driving around blaring some Van Halen the past few days. Really covers up all the rattles and creaks the old P.O.S. makes going down the road...

I've done them myself and it is a chore. Since I don't want to take a chance with my good windshield, I'm gonna offer a glass guy I know some $$$ to come over one weekend and give me hand.

Excellent choice! Is it Van Halen with David Lee Roth or Sammy? I love them both, some days I'm for Van Halen and others it's Van Hagar.
