This started as a water pump replacement, somehow it's grown into a complete engine compartment detail... I have the wiring out for cleanup & repair, plus the brake lines will be pulled from the firewall cleaned and then masked off before painting the engine compartment... I'm so deep now I may just wait till my engine guy is finished checking out the roller 306, would save lots of time down the road...

While it only has 66Kmi, somewhere in the past the heads were swapped for 1978 smoggers(engine block has orig VIN) with pedestal rockers & 14mm plugs, the 306 has a set of procomp alum heads...

Are you doing the Cruisin'? I think the theme is 70's cars so that means front roll

found culprit causing the obnoxious noise and looseness in the front end. The Baer tracker hiem joints have play in them. I think I'll just go back to regular tie rods. I didn't notice any difference with them anyway.

It was a pleasure meeting you and your family yesterday. Glad you made it to the cruise, it's always nice to put a face with a name. Congratulations on the $50 and free car wash. We didn't get any rain yesterday for some reason.

Both, he had Van Halen, 1984, and OU812. I did pass on the Run DMC and Vanilla Ice CD's that were in there.. :biglaugh: I'm not a big fan of 80's music, but Van Halen was a bright spot in a pool of mostly crap...

Been attempting to do body work for the last few days... I can do major repair but not fine finishing... I suck at this stuff... a lot of work for minimal results...
