    Power windows

Just finished putting power window units in. They almost look like they were made for it.

Guess I'm gettin lazy in my old age. Power trunk, power windows, remote locks, and AC. At least I haven't given up the stick.

Block, Head(valves installed with 3 angle grind and milled), new pistons on rods, Cam installed, and polished crank.
Already have the new water pump, fuel pump, alternator and Monster AOD. Just have to rebuild the carb.
Then I just have to put the rest of the car together.

Replaced my 3 in magnaflow dumps with 2 1/2 magnaflows with tailpipes. sounds just right, not too loud.

Does using the fender to keep from hitting the ground while my lower back spasms count?

This one is actually the other way around. "what did your Maverick do to you today?"

It embarrased me. It's never backfired in the time I've owned it until today. And where did it choose to backfire? Right next to a car show that I was driving past... :(

I drove mine to a cruise-in and am amazed at the responses it garners wherever I go. A guy was talking to me about the car, and like others here have experienced, thought it was Pinto when I asked him what he thought it was. I told him thank you for not thinking it was Brand X. I directed another person to this site and Autokrafter's for a headliner for his '72. He's also looking for a Maverick gas cap so I suggested some of the dismantler members here. Just a cool evening which is a prelude to the 'Big Shew' tomorrow.

Put the slicks on it.. Loaded up tools and checked tire pressures, fluids ect.. 1/8th mile test and tune tomorrow... First time out with this motor combo.. Hopefully eveything holds up and it goes straight. Changed all the suspension.. Just REALLY hope it goes straight...first couple runs I'll be asking for a solo pass just to make sure others are safe as well.
