Installed intermittent wiper switch and governor from a 80's Ford pickup.
Drove home in rain the other day in my 77 f100. Was wishing i had intermittent wipers. On my list!
Okay!!! Okay!!! Slap me.
I know i'm slow but i got driverside only installed.
Replaced suspension control arms, tierods, strut rod bushing, Installed wilwood brakes. Oh and I did cut a coil from spring.
Inspected my work by putting tires back on and putting 4 on floor.
Think she gonna look nice when done!
Going at this pace it'll be 3 weeks before other side is done!!!
I went and talked to a body shop here in town, found one that has experience in older vehicles, not just newer insurance jobs. Brought the car home and started taking her apart.
I do need some suggestions on what is best to use for trying to polish the bumpers, door handles, headlight covers...stuff like that.
I started putting the new seal kit on my heater box. I repaired "hopefully" the broken spots on the pass side vent. I've been glueing the new foam on the doors and such but not sure where these 3 strips and round deal goes. Any enlightenment would be helpful. I could see the 3 strips for the pass side vent door to seal it when closed but all the other doors have full sided foam so wasnt for sure.
tucked a few more wires today. hope to hook up my new throttle cable tomorrow.
1. Got left front suspension all ripped out. 2. Got wheel well all cleaned up and half azz painted all black.
3. Cut spring.
I'll be ready to start reinstall whenever i get back in garage.
Tried to make my aluminum shine again...this work is for young people for sure but made some progress.
Still work to be done but looking better, thankfully I have small bumpers! I used never dull, mothers, fine wet sand paper, die grinder with polishing wheel and much elbow grease.
Finally got front suspension/disc brakes upgrade completed. After dropping car on floor to check stance.
I,m thinking i really need to get rid of these shackles before moving on.
I'm starting to think about tires! Any 2 cents?
Put a block off plate on the gas tank where the fuel outlet was. Previously I put in a in tank electric pump and fuel level gauge sender through the top.
Went and admired my buddies “slightly rusty” parts car. The back is just as bad.
Those slightly rusted cars makes great homes for sleepy reptiles. Be careful
Mostly assembled.....to oil slinger or not? lol, does it sling onto the fuel pump eccentric?
Lol....If he doesnt use the parts soon, there will be nothing but rust.
