We got the trailer from a buddy of mine in trade a tree had fallen on that side of the trailer so we just cut off the railing on that side as it was useless. As for the parking job, we backed the trailer up to a light pole in the parking lot of the hotel we were staying at and locked it up with their permission. We dropped off the trailer for a few hours while we went to dinner and ran some errands.

That would be 11 hours one way for me. I plan on making the trip one day so I won't have to pay shipping on quarters for our Chevelle.

I'm around half way between the Summit in Tallmadge OH or McDonough GA, about 8½ hours to either. I was in the OH store summer '19 to buy a master cylinder for my Fairlane, only about 25 miles from where I bought car. It came with multiple Summit receipts for previous purchases.

a friend of mine road up with me. we were talking about how spooky it was that no one was on the highway this morning. there are 3 4 way stops and 2 round abouts on that road and we caught up with no one and no one caught up with us in the 45 mile trip.
got all but one part for my cold air kit, had to order the cone style filter. I have one to mock it up with until it gets here.
the hat is polished that will be painted black. the tube is polished that will be black also. the bands and filter are already black.
temp is to be in the low 70s tomorrow so I may get a chance to install and test drive it then.

    :drive:...:chirp:

I hooked a boat tank up to the fuel pump inlet, poured some go juice down her throat and heard my comet run for the first time today. And wow, the accelerator pump even works. Goes into gear really nice. Need to blow out the lines and see what's in the tank.

I flushed out the lines and sender pickup tube. Installed new rubber fuel hoses. And added an inline filter at the tank. Best place for a filter, stops anything before it even enters the system. And doesn't clutter up the engine compartment.

Poured in my last 2 gallons and after priming the system. She starts and runs, pulling fuel from the tank.

Keep an eye on that plastic filter. Had one leak on me about 12 years ago. Had mine mounted near carb.

Metal (can) filter after that! Plastic on my riding mower.

I've always used the wix 33032 can filter near the carb. Had a glass one once, boy those things are a terrible idea.

I like being able to "view" its contents. And being away from engine compartment temp and vibration it should fare pretty well.

I also used enough line, if it clogs, I can swap the hoses and bypass it quickly. I did leave the factory carb inlet filter in place for this reason.

Met up with a local maverick guy and swapped some parts and bought a few things! Got a nice set of rust free doors and a set of disk brakes! Both will be going on my new 70 grabber.
