Ive heard a rearend from an explorer is a good swap for my 72 and I was wondering is there a certain year explorer I should be looking for? do they come with disc or drum brakes? what gears do they come with? Any help is appreciated.
95 & up came with disc's, but the center section is offset. You can shorten the one side, and get another short axle from the auto wreackers. I'm going to be staring this swap very soon, I have an Explorer just waiting to get cut up. http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/Explorer8_8.html
