I just looked it up and my information says it is worth $6000 plus 25% for the diesel engine. That makes it about $7500. That is not top price but the price if it runs and drives and only needs body and cosmetic work to make it perfect again.

I'm always amazed at how high these diesel truck sell for. I'd like to buy one myself, but I can't ever justify paying 10K for a 300K truck. I know diesels run forever, but there's more to a truck besides the engine.

As far as this truck goes, if the body was clean, I could see it bringing >4K. But it's pretty rough in places. I think $2000 - $2500 is pretty fair.

I like the box side, did they try to shoot the dent out? That truck would make a good snow plow if it was an automatic.

Down here they are just something construction company's beat the hell out of for a few years. Then throw them out to the curb barely running for next to nothing, because nobody wants a beat up truck with over a quarter of a million miles on it that's had zero maintenance done on it. :biglaugh: You can tell the ones that have really had a rough life, because the frame sags a little bit in the middle. :rofl2: I guess they figured out a long time ago that Chevy's and Dodges can't handle the abuse. Those are just pretty boy trucks.

I have a 2000 F-250 powerstroke diesel. I ordered it from ford and put every one of the 360,000 miles on it. I have had the trany rebuilt and that is just about it. There is no gas engine truck out there that will out pull or out last a diesel. In my opinion, the truck looks rough (but everything can be fixed pretty cheap and is pretty easy to do) but when you add the 60k miles on the diesel and the 4X4 I would say it would bring about 7K. If you can get it for about 2.5k that is a deal, besides you always use a truck.
