That red car I posted is a Honda 600 with a big block Chevy.
I had a buddy with a Civic 3 door and it was scary fast. He poured all his money into the engine and suspension. It appeared stock in all respects. He even made the effort to NOT have new looking parts under the hood. He spray painted everything to be dull.
It was teal green with stock rims and hubcaps.

Here is some rice you must respect. Nisson Skyline.

When I got started, I was the only FORD guy around my area. (pre-fox body era)
My stuff got laughed at a lot, the Chevy boys really picked on my small block Maverick. My first trip to the track with Quick Silver with real quiet mufflers, first pass 7.75, the closest Chevy boy was in the mid 8's back then. I was not the fastest car around, but I was faster than all the people laughing at my stuff. I call this type of thinking the Bowtie Mentality (if it ain't a Chevy it ain't sh#?) you know what I mean. I don't like being around this type person. I can appreciate other people's effort, but at the end of the day I'll have my FORDS and be looking for friends whatever they drive!

Agreed. Lose the spoiler and shes a bad mamma jamma.
Maybe have a tunnel ram through the hood with a bug catcher.

And I bet that cars got the ass to back the look.

OH she sure does!! The ad says it has the tire shredding 175 HP 350 with unreal 2.73 gears in the back.

    Ricers aren't the only posers!!

I saw this car yesterday. Its not rice. Its no joke either.

One of my favorite rice/muscle combos is an LS7 powered Mazda RX7. That 427 sound so much better than a rotory. I think the rotory is a 1.3 liter. Did you know an LSX is a sleeved aluminum block and it weighs less than a 1.3? The trans weighs a bit more but the center of gravity is more neutral with the v8. It fits under a stock hood. How can you not love this!

Check out www.hinsonsupercars.com They will put an LSX in anything they can!

Sorry, but I won't apologize for laughing at that first car pictured in this thread.....and it has nothing to do with it being a "ricer"

Unlike the Camaro someone pictured, where even though wings and sidepipes aren't my style.....it's a nice car, and I compliment and respect it as such, even if it has things I don't like....it's not my car, and the wing and sidepipes aren't a bad thing....just not my thing.

But c'mon!....massive tires and wheelie bars sticking out the back of a front-wheeler is as silly as monster tires and wheelie bars sticking out the front of a Maverick, or any other RWD car.....it's just silly.

Workmanship, attention to detail, fine, I can respect that in any car......but pull something silly like that, all the workmanship and detail in the world isn't going to get me to respect it,....or keep myself from laughing at it.

Besides, I think both those who are ragging on the car and those defending it are entirely missing the point..... Seeing how over-the-top the entire theme of that car is....I'm pretty sure the owner welcomes the critisizm and ridicule as much as compliments and admiration......it's pretty obvious he built that car to get attention and reactions...both good and bad....I doubt he cares which.

The thing that probably would offend and anger him is if you ignored it and said nothing at all.

    Probably right.
That Camaro is still sweet and has more HP than my ride. Plus it's red so yeah thats cool too.I can't really diss on a car with the look but not the hook. It's infinitely cheaper and easier to build a scary LOOKING car than it is to build an engine to back up the look. My car is a Comet version of that Camaro. Big tires, wing glaring absence of pipes but their coming. My car looks tougher than it is and I don't mind telling people that.

I just wish folks would stop asking me what year my Mustang is...

    Here's a sweet Volvo.
