Are there other cars that have window cranks similar to ours and would fit. I got a replacement set from Autokrafters but the quality was poor and the handles broke off pretty quickly. I'm hoping to get some good quality parts that will last like the originals.

Sorry, couldn't resist. Just out of curiosity, are the regulators in good shape and easy to operate? My GTO had sticky gummed up rears and it was hard keeping knobs on them.

I thought that 68, 69, and 70 mustangs were the same as the 70-72 cranks and that 73 broncos were the same as 73-77 cranks.

They used to be available in the "Help" section at the local parts store. I never had problems with the cranks, but the knobs always cracked or got loose.

The depth is different, maverick ones have a longer spacer on them. There might be others that fit.

Here is my experience. One can't buy the "cheap" repop knobs. I bought those and they broke virtually immediately. I then stepped up and bought the more expensive knobs (from CJ Pony Parts) and they work great.

I am not 100%, but the ones on my 75 Maverick look identical to the ones on my 70 Mustang.

I found some heavily optioned 70s ford pick ups in the junk yard when I was looking for parts for my Bronco. The window cranks were pretty much identical.

They all "look" identical, but if they are the wrong ones, they will dig into your door panel, since the shaft part of the crank is shorter. Look at them from the side, the Maverick (or ones that will work) the tube part will stick out about a 1/4", the others will work, but the distance is a little shorter.

Help section handles for me. Pull the knob off the handle where it spins cause they will break real fast anyhow. Drill into the metal center of knob with a 1/8 bit. I used a door trim screw to re attach to the handle. Leave just enough play for the knob to spin. Good and strong 4 years later. 4 bucks each. Takes 2 minutes. I bought all I could find around here just incase I need replacements.
