I think that car is very sad sitting in that yard. I hope it finds its proper home.

In its day, that car [as well as Farrah :D] was a knockout custom. It was the 70's, and fake fur was big, as was the IMSA body kits with widened fenders and Monza tail lights. There were no performance cars from the factory anymore, EPA and the insurance companies made sure of that. I remember the "Monroe Handler" Mustang II done up in a similar style, minus the fur. Wild graphic stripes were common. While the style is dated, it was top-notch back then. I never got into the IMSA styling or the fake fur, but lots of show cars from that era did. It's sad the car has run down so much. Just because it was a Barris custom-built for a star, it has collector value, but not as much as is being asked. Maybe $20,000-$25,000 in restored condition, but not more than about $10,000 in its current shape.....

I remember the car as well as the 70's but I am thankful I was too young to be an active participant in the era!

looks to me that the phone is in a "secret compartment" that hides in the dash. thats the only reason i would think the phone sits like that.

with that being said, wow! its really sad to see a car be left like that...dont get me started on the current pics either. just take it out back and put it out of its misery, please. future generations should not have to behold such atrocities.

Back in the day, my bone wouldn't have had any problem staying up - sideways or not! ;)

Car looks like it's already in a junkyard.

He's had 28 offers so far. I think he better start looking closer at them.
