I can't drive the car any more until until I replace the springs, I'm slicing up my sidewalls on every bump if I have ANYONE else in the car. I replaced my air shocks w/ gas shocks and the ride height dropped almost 2". I guess thats good for the shock mounts but bad for my tires.

I've got to buy new tires for the back now. Guess that's what I get for running 265/50R14s on a 8" rim. :D 10.5" section width 9" tread. I'm switching to a 245/60 instead, about an inch taller and an inch more narrow.Tried talking the wife into new wheels and tires all the way around but couldn't sell that over 2 rear tires. Somehow $200 for tires sounds better than $2k for wheels and tires. Like that tire?

 JC whitney said they don't have an ETA, John R Spring told me the same thing. Espo says theirs are on back order with no ETA. I guess I'll wait a few more days to hear from JC Whitney. They were gracious enogh to give me a $25 gift certificate for waiting

So it looks like either I got the last set or they're jerking me around too. I'll let you know. If nothing else maybe I can get a gift card too :)

There is some very interesting reading on this web site. There is a section about rearching the springs etc, etc. You guys should check it out! http://www.eatonsprings.com/index.html

Laurel mountain mustang says they have a set for $149. I might get those if JCW doesn't ship by the 19th. In the mean time I can round up some disc brake conversion parts so I can put the axle in and be done with it.

If anyone get's their JCW springs soon let me know. They just canceled my order and I'll reorder if somebody gets theirs. If not then its off to Laurel Mountain.

Those are JRS sourced as far as I know. See this thread:

Look for somewhere local that will rearch the springs & add a 4th leaf. That's what I did. 24hr turn around....The pair set me back around $150....

That's a good deal. I called our local spring shop and they wanted $250 just to add a 4th leaf. That doesn't count re-arching.
