Looking to replace my front OE brake w/ some aftermarket pads w/ better braking and less dust residue.
Anyone have any suggestions and part numbers. The car is used only for street/highway driving.

Ceramic pads are the most quiet and produce the least amount of brake dust, and the dust they do produce is a light color that is not as noticeable as others that put that black stuff all over your wheels. They are not for heavy use such as towing, but are an upgrade from the stock organic pads. Semi-metallic give more "bite" and performance for road-racing/autocross applications, but are noisier and produce lots of black dust.
Advance Auto parts offers the ceramic pads Part# GNAD91 (the brand name is Wearever).

Thanks for the information, Larry. I will check them out; have you used this part? If so, what is your impression of them?

Not on my Maverick, but I put them on a Toyota 4Runner and the brakes felt better than ever before.

They are like a new clutch disc and require a heat cycle, had them on a Ford Lightning didnt give off as much dust but did not notice much difference in braking action. Maybe under track conditions they would have heated up less
