Ok, quick question for Maverick Owners :

what's the measurement on the dash? how wide is it?

I also want to use the Brand New interior from the 03 GT into the project and that includes the dash with all components.

My friend here installed a 2003 Cobra drivetrain (engine, tranny, rear end, tank, etc, AND the interior from a 2001 Cobra into a 92 Fox), I got to drive this excellent swap example of a beast, but again I am interested in the measurements of the Maverick Dash, thanks.

For images and a Video of this 92 Fox powered by a 2003 Cobra and interior swap, go here:

Im thinking its close to 55in but I could be wrong. Im trying to remember because I sold one not too long ago and shipped it ups and it wasnt too cheap since it was so long. Maybe someone else knows for sure

i think that info was discussed recently, did you try the search function? If not, do you want the stock dash width or the room for any dash? there is space on both sides of the dash from the door. i could get that info tomorrow.

Yep it sure is and then he showed it too all of us on the Modular site and now here we all are!

IM glad to see I was right about the measurement on the dash.

Im already getting a part list together for my build and doing alot of planning and designing. For awhile I couldnt decide what I wanted to do with my Mav (as the guys on matt's board can attest too) but now Im set on the Mod conversion. Hope to be buying parts within the next month.

Im going to start by getting the Mark8 engine and work my way from there. I may try and find me another Mav body to do all what I have discussed about doing because mine is in pretty good shape and its a grabber so I think IM just going to get a decent 70-71 body and cut away! I'll probaby sell the Maverick I have now to offset some cost.

I will deffinately keep you posted.

I think the Mark8 is the better way to go for myself. I've checked on used Cobra heads crank, rods, pistons, and an Eaton blower and its all pretty reasonable...especially when you consider how much a S/C Cobra motor will set you back. I just need the engine right now to see about setting up the frame and everything.

Oh and I ordered Sean Hylands 4.6 book to read up alittle more to get myself alittle more educated.
