Two 1973 LDO Mavericks (one 4 Drag one 4 driving like Mad on the roads :) ) also have a 75 6cyl Stock! Ok, well sort of Stock :P
yeah i can see where since you got the thing for free why not... but on the other had i can see where dan is comming from cuz you seen one mustang you seen them all regardless of whats in it. sorry i know some of you guys have mustangs but you can't say its not true. i have nothing against mustang or even anything non-mavericks but what about a falcon or even torino or how about a pantera (since you got the cash for the cobras ;) ) to shove that thing into?

i think over the last 10 years i only seen one mustang impress me... (and no it wasn't those brothers that do those mustangs with the call the GT-R. which i might ad is a nissan skyline badge on the grill.) that was the JBA mustang with the turbo on it. it wasn't the cleanest mustang but it was something you didn't see... but even then, only a few years later someones been there and done that already. i think a good example is the All Ford Round Up at Knotts. i mean how many Mustangs can you actually see still you just start walking by them. right? right! i mean i can't count how many times i seen a transplant in a mustang. i can probably only say i seen two mavericks in person with a transplant in person.

i guess to me if it aint differant it don't impress me, no matter how much money the dudes got into it.. infact the more money someone has it seems the less work they do themselfs :p i mean i'll stand and look at some god forsaken beater that some guys put all is effort into the some high dollar car.. then again thats just me :D be a maverick be differant :D

then again give me some buko cash and free mustang i'll build a killer car then sell it and buy 50 mavericks :D

IM with Derrick, I cant tell you how many Fox Stangs I see every single day. A good guess would be in the 20 range. I can count on one hand how many Mavericks I've seen on the road in the past year 2. Torino's none. Pantera's 0. I guess I like to see something different as well. You can only look at so many classic Mustang's or Camaro's before you get bored. And fox bodied stangs, well it would have to be extremely different to catch my attention. Which maybe thats what your after, the challenge of grabbing everyones attention with an average car, if so I give you props.

I do like Derricks idea with the Pantera, just one thing...Get a new Ford GT engine+transaxle to slide in the back! Now that would be fun:yup:.

Call me crazy but what about a midengine Torino fastback? My brother has an original 69 428 CJ Torino fastback so I can tell you there is plenty of room for something like that. I found a 68 FB Torino GT the other day forsale that IM probably going to go buy.

I like the different stuff but whatever you build good luck and IM sure it will turn out great.

    Guys,

the thing was free, I don't need anymore attention, I get that everywhere I go with either of my Cobras, I don't need anything else faster, the Cobras are real fast being that they weigh next to nothing.
I've owned 3 Mavericks in the Past, so I am not a stranger to them.
It just happens that I have runned out of funds to even finish my second Cobra and I have this wrecked 03 Mustang ready to be transplanted into something, My garage is full of Cars and stuff so I can't just work on a Bigger project like a Maverick 4.6 swap, that requires a lot more tools and space. so I am taking the easy way out, installing all of the 03 GT stuff into a Fox, I know it has been done too many times before but I just need to do this and use the car as a "daily driver", no racing and no crazy mods on this, no money remember?

    Thanks for understanding.

    Cheers

Hey Man, Im not against you at all. If I was in your shoes I would probably go the same route. You already have the stang and you got the free body...thats much easier than trying to locate a decent Maverick body, fix what needs to be fixed, modify and rework almost everything. And like you said you would need a bit of room and money to undertake something of that nature. Also you got 2 killer cars already!

And Im no stranger to having little to no funds for a project. I have to wheel and deal to get the things I need.

Hope it all goes well. Let me know how it goes :)
