    keep it comet.....

......all the way. Or just do what you like, that's why it's called customizing. Curb feelers might help.......ha, ha. The comet is less common, I believe. Dougs pic of the comick is unique. If you are going to swap tail lights, I saw someone with bobcat lights on a mav, put those on the comet, at least it is still merc to merc...........I think......Robert:p
Also, The comet GT hood really sets one off......

I have an idea. We want to turn our Maverick into a Comet, and you want a Maverick not a Comet...lets swap :D Well at least I like the idea...

    71 Lightning...

...those lights didn't show up on a car until the
    Montego of 1970.
Personally I like them much better than the
Pinto, ooopps, I mean Maverick taillights.

I talked with Dennis about the idea of putting the
Cyclone taillights of '70-'71 on a Comet.
I believe it would eliminate the center gas cap.
They have 3 pods per side rather than the 2
found on Comets and base Montego.
They also seem to be a 1 piece housing going
all the way across the back.

Keep it a Comet, or sell it and buy a Mav. Not enough Comets left.

I have a '74 Comet with a 71 Mav Front end I think they do look better than a straight Comet. The Mav. fenders and hood are shorter. I think it looks good. I'm actually looking for '70 Torino tail lights for it. I've seen the Torino Tailights on a Mav. they make the rear of the car look wider than it actually is.(y)

Great looking ride Boss maverick ! I am probably going to do the same thing to my 74 Comet as I have a good grabber hood but I need a Maverick grill to complete the package. How about a Comick GT? Or will this be a Comick Grabber? Or a Comick Grabber GT? Now I'm confused! Will be one of a kind,[well maybe not, just one of a few] but the combo looks good anyway you look at it ,the best of both cars !(y)

Only thing to change on mine will be the grill, I don't have a Comet hood; when I get a new grill for mine will be willing to part with the Comet piece(y)

Well, the Maverick grill is on the way, but I have decided to keep the Comet grill just in case I find a Comet hood cheap. For sure gonna keep the Comet tail lights, all the other insigna, just have a Comet with a distincive hood and grill, might even swap between the two just to keep everybody off guard!!!!
