What size wheel do you plan on running to need clearance I have the same wheels as GrabberGT with stock everything worked fine I think I used a 1/4" spacer mostly to make the wheel look right in the wheel well. I have since done the shelby drop and 13" cobra brakes and have no clearance issues.
18x9 with a 255/35. I would prefer a 265 but I already have a 255. The backspace is 6" but the brake kit takes up 3/8". I believe 5.5" will fit perfect.
The front wheels I have are 18x9 and it says offset is 24.0 I assume positive means 6" backspace I use a 1/4" spacer and it clears the upper balljoint with stock spindles. IMO it might look better with a little more spacer. Also currently have 255 35 tires
Oh ok. I will try again. Maybe the suspension droops a little more. I will play with it a little more.
I just rechecked and I have (2) 1/4" spacers for a total of 1/2" each side and the rim is pretty close to the upper ball joint, here is a pic with the wheels on my car
Also should mention that the stock wheel studs were too short for the combined added thickness of the alloy wheel and the spacers, so I put on ARP studs. Also I have the 13" Cobra brakes and have a much better pedal feel than the stock brakes
