Hey I am planning on dropping a 351 in my '70 Maverick and also lowering it. I was wondering if anyone knew of any place that sells lowered springs for a v8. Ones that fit a Maverick or maybe ones froma different car that could interchange with a Maverick. Like mabe a 66 mustang? if that would work, I'm not really sure.

I would try a set of springs from a 302 Maverick first and see if you like the height. The '66 Mustang 289 springs are the same. the 351 is about 50 - 60 lbs heavier than a 302, depending on what parts you put in it. Might lower it just right. About 10 years ago I bought some springs specifically for a 351-into-Maverick swap. Changed my mind about doing the swap and never did use them, so I can't comment about how they worked. If you try the 289-302 springs and they end up being too low I still have the 351 springs if you want to try them.
