Just wanted to say hello. I'm Boz from Berwick, Pa. I picked up a very solid and straight 71 maverick without a motor. I then picked up a 71 302 that's 30 over but I didn't want fuel injection so I'm on the hunt for an air gap intake and headers and radiator. I have a set of GT40P heads. Only bad part on body that I could see is a drivers side torque box. Anyway, just wanted to say hi and if anyone is nearby DEFINATELY get ahold of me. I have a love for old cars and also own a 79 Monte Carlo, 72 cutlass, 74 superbeetle convertible, 80 vette and made a deal for a 67 caprice but the guy never got back to me saying he found the title so that's still up in the air.
Welcome to the site from northeast Ohio!!! Nice looking car. I believe I read from other members on this site that GT40p heads and the headers that are required for our cars are incompatible due to spark plug angle interference. Just a FYI. Added note: Hooker 6901s are the best fitting long tube headers for our cars. They are not always perfect, but they are the best fitting LT.
Hello from Portland,OR. Say hello to that husband of yours...he must be on a mission.....and the suspense builds! Hey Frank!! (I know you are in earshot...somewhere near a dusty keyboard.)
Thanks for the welcome. I don't get on here much because I really haven't started on the car. I have the motor just don't have the time. I'm in need of a DS torque box. Hi Bob from Mt Top. Not far at all. Wouldn't mind chatting a bit. Do you go to the square in WB for the cruise in?
Hello Boz, friends of mine keep after me to go to the square for the shows but I just never seen to find the time to get there. My own Maverick build has been on hold for some time now with my interest moved over to restoring an old pavement Modified stock car that ran at Evergreen Speedway of near Hazleton. We'll have to meet up some time and chat for sure
Boz, new torque boxes can be found here: http://mmb.maverick.to/threads/torque-boxes-available.108369/
