Still on the hunt. In contact with this guy, but need to add a bunch more to the budget... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...40758097074&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:MOTORS:1123 What do you guys think it's really worth?
have you checked this one out...? its somewhere in san diego county...i think that he's asking about 4600...but, the reserve might be less... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1973...3681430?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item35bc601a16
it looks like that Maverick in Vegas is a bit cleaner than the one i sent the link to you for...as for the value...i'd have to say that that's your call...
We were looking at that one as well. Wanted something a bit more stock. Something about the quote in the ad "The motor is really set up to make power above 4 grand", that kind of scared us off. Maybe we are just being too picky. For the right price we can get stuff fixed with the extra money.
yeah, i noticed that too...also, there was some minor rust issues too...but, that shouldn't be too tough...but, i think that i'd rather try for the bb blue mav in vegas if it's doable...
That baby blue one in Nevada...The seller is a member here...Cant think of his handle at the moment...
he had an ad for the car in the Vegas Craigslist... http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/cto/3037112253.html
I'm no expert in worth but that looks like a very well taken care of car. I will say that I paid less for mine but will have to spend more that what he's asking to get it into the shape that one is in.
$16,000. Well it does look in good shape. I don't think he is asking to much, by the pictures. That being said, I don't have that laying around so wouldn't ever be able to buy a car for that much. And putting 14k into what I already bought over next 20 years is easily what I will be doing. So, the question is would you rather buy ANYTHING else for 16k up front, or finance. Or is the maverick your dream car? Only you and your wife can say. I would buy it if I had the money, but I love the maverick/comet.
FINALLY!!!! Got my wife a Maverick. She's a 73 V8 Auto. No stick shift and no air conditioning but the wife got tired of waiting. I'll post up some pictures after she gets delivered from Oregon, but for now here is the ad: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MAVERICK-/110947704525?forcev4exp=true Thank you everyone for your advice and help in looking for the car!!! Jeff
Nice car. Will look real nice with a set of Cragars on it. You can always add a Vintage Air A/C setup to it. will work better then the factory stuff anyways.
