Thank you, also, Coutangman! It really pained my mother to let this car go, but she offered my it to my oldest son and he really didn't want to mess with the car because it doesn't have air. So she said that I could have the car and she hoped that after I restore it that he would have an interest in it again. Which I hope he does, because we all really love this car! And even my husband has taken an real interest in it, aside from his Mustang! lol!
Side winder covers I found the covers online at trend setters part numbers are PN-700-C522 RH and PN-700-C521 LH These are the end caps. here is one site for the pipes http://southtexasamc.tripod.com/trendsetter.htm This site list vendors for the pipe and covershttp://www.planethoustonamx.com/main/amc_trendsetter_pipes.htm I hope this will help. I think you had a blue GT at one time you sold a few years back. I am from Calhoun and had seen the red car back in the day. I remember the first Bear Cat I saw it was the dark green and gold strip. It was a fast little car. Good luck with yours it a very nice car and very rare.
Yes sir!! I did have a blue one at one time! lol!! You probably did see Mom's car around if you were in Ranger any! Or Calhoun for that matter! lol! I'm glad to hear that someone else has seen this car, so no one thinks I'm pulling their leg about what this car is! I really do appericate this information! And if you're in Calhoun sometime, maybe we could hook up and see each others car's! They still have the hang out at the Sonic sometimes! Thanks a bunch, again!
Yeah, Joe! I have and I think that we saw you there! My husband drives the Sublime green Mustang Coupe! I'm on streetcarforums also! I've seen you on there, too!
Welcome from Bama! Oh no, another one from GA! Just kiddin, I'm an adopted GA boy from Bama. They felt sorry for us Bama guys that they outnumbered us so bad they let us come to their events. :Handshake Really though, the GA bunch that I have had the pleasure of meeting is a great bunch. And you have a great looking car there. You need to make us some more better pics, side view, front, back, insides, under the hood, etc. We love pics! And anything you need to know, somebody here probably knows about it or knows somebody that does.:Handshake
Thanks for the info, Ray!! And I know all about you Bama Boys!! lol! You can be a WILD bunch! lol But, to make you a little happy, here's some pictures that me and Mom dug out. These were some of the ones she took when she first bought it. Check out my Mom!! She was a hottie, wasn't she!! lol! In the last picture, you can see that the Comet still had the driveout tag in the rear window.
I got the side winder cover yesterday and they work great. Now to get the body work complete and get the complete kit and installed. I can not wait. When you get ready let me know and I will give you the web site for the side winder side pipes. I found a complete kit shipped to me for 520.00.
Cool pics! Now you need to recreate them as the car looks today, bikini is optional, lol. I have a photo book I put together of the construction of my car, you could do one of when it was new, then down through the years up to the present. You are indeed lucky that the car is still in the family!
That's great GaGrabber!! I'll definatly let you know when I get ready to buy them. Ford...I'm sorry about the recreation of the pictures...but, I'm a little bit chunky and would never look as great as my Mom in any of these pictures! lol! But, I am going out today and take more pictures of the Comet. I have started some of the restoration, so I have some things taken off and some things are different. But, I'll update everything in the photos! Thanks for looking, guys!
