    The Kph speedo is cool...

Was it built south of the border or a US model built for export??? Answering my own question, assuming the four speed is original it's a foreign build...

It may be in rough shape .. but salvageable for sure .. I've seen worse and Worked On Them .. Looks like most everything is THERE to work with ! Don't get discouraged ... there is a lot of help available .

The ' Mexican Maverick ? ' shown in the photo with the Cutie posing in front of it is a COMET .. I don't care WHAT they choose to Call It .. Look at the Taillights , Hood , Grille , Bumper .. etc etc etc. MOJO has one in Illinois that has
all the features shown on this supposedly ' Mexican Maverick ' right down to the hood mounted tach ! I visited him
last week and took pictures .
Can't figure out WHY anyone would want to call it a Maverick ??

I would call it a Maverick because it says Maverick on the front fender, it has a Maverick front bumper, it has Maverick turn signals under the front bumper, and it has Maverick Grabber stripes. The one picture I saw of the back I could see the Comet tail-lights, but I can't tell if they are mounted to a Maverick rear tail panel. Otherwise, it is just a Comet hood and a Comet grill on a Maverick. Just my observation.

Hey guys! I'm new to the forum, was looking up info on my project car. I recently purchased 4 months ago in atlanta a maverick imported from mexico, with the original build sheet, a dana 44 rear 220 speedo and gt stripe package, hencho en mexico 302 block c4 auto, runs very good. will upload some pics tomorrow when I get home, this is my first project car and I just now realized these imports are quite rare in the states, would like to provide any info for people if anyone needs any more than is already here on the forum.
