yes, it will fit. Is it worth it? probably not..unless you REALLY want to be a little different. In that case, why not drop a flathead into it? Seriously, the 350's motor mounts are on the front of the block, and the siamesed 2 center exhaust ports are a pain to work with, even in a chevy II/early Nova chassis. I would think the Mav's shock towers are right in the way, even for Block Huggers headers. The 350 is longer than a 302 as well, so a custom radiator mounted in front of the core support might be in order, either that or move the engine back in the chassis...and cutting up the firewall to clear the rear mounted distributor. If I was to do it, I'd go with a Mustang II front end and forget about clearance problems. Good luck either way you go!

    Doug...

...you got any more of that Maalox?

    Pass it over!

15 yrs ago I MIGHT be able to understand why someone might consider swapping in a GM motor to a Ford vehicle. Speed parts for small block Fords were less plentiful and they were more expensive. The 5.0 Mustang generated the luxury we enjoy today of affordable (comparable to Chevy parts) speed parts.
Like it or not, the 5.0 Mustangs and the 302 are today what the 55 & 57 Chevy was in the 60's and the 67-69 Camaro was to the 70's and 80's.

I would not be surprised to pop the hood on an old Chevy street rod and find a 5.0 Ford with roller rockers and FI pretty soon.

If I was rich, I'd buy a pre 67 Vette and put a Ford motor in it just to get even.
