according to mavman72 6" of mavs fenders must be exchanged with mustang fenders i think is fair, but does the hood fit well or also need cut down?
That reminds me of something I used to see at PFCA meets....someone took a 69-70 fastback Mustang hull and built a fastback Cougar. He put Cougar quarters on the fastback body then added all of the exterior sheet metal and interior from a Cougar. One of the most unique hybrid Fords I have ever seen. The 68 Mustang frt end on a Maverick is a neat mod, but I think it could be done a little better. The body line and wheel opening just doesn't flow with the Maverick's body lines. Maybe just using the top and frt edge of a Mustang fender and keeping the Maverick body lines and wheel opening would fit better with some work?? I think a custom Maverick with a 68 Mustang frt end and the metal California Special taillight panel would make a very interesting car. Maybe a California Special Maverick.
