A year or two ago someone was modifying Plymouth (I believe) spindles to use on his Maverick. It showed some pics of the process.

I can't seem to find them using the search. Anyone remember that deal and know how it turned out?

    Thx.

I know of a junkyard that will ship you rotors, calipers and spindles
off of a junk car. He charged me $80 and he took them off, I picked
them up. He had at least 1 more set. Let me know if you want info.

I appreciate the good info Seth (really). I was more of 'wondering out loud' to whatever became of the guy's project.

Are those Ford or Mopar parts?

I would also like to know of good alternatives to Maverick/Granada discs.

My uncle has 70 Mustang spindles/discs on his 74 AND his 70. So I guess it is safe to assume that those swap.
I am pretty sure though that being Mustang parts they are neither cheap or easy to get... short of a Mustang resto parts outlet $$$.

It seems like that guy out in Arizona doing the custom front-end used Volare(sp) ball joints or something because the taper was the same. I don't remember anybody using non-Ford spindles though.

Do you suppose his car is still being held together with "C" clamps? :D

For safety's sake, I hope he at least welded them in place. ;)
