I was planning on adding a leaf on each side for my car, and I talked to the local spring shop, they want 450.00 not including taxes(Canadian dollars) for us guys in Canada. That price includes all the re & re. I would not do any of the work myself on this one. It is too much. These guys are the cheapest in town. The other guys were more. Plain Robbery I say!

Don't waste your money, go to oreilys and look at the trailor suspension kits. This is not a schackle kit. It bolts to your leaf springs and takes the sag out

i might have found another source for leaf springs.
while browsing the web i stumbled upon www.thesuspensionking.com.
they claim to make new springs for the maverick/comet using the old ford patterns. i ordered a set of two leaf springs, bushings and shackles. the price of just above 100 for one spring seems to be fairly alright with me!

:hmmm:...i just removed the 4th leaf from my JCW 4 leaf springs...:yup:

the springs were just too tight. they had no bounce at all.
i catch myself running over bumps and humps in the road just to ...not feel the bang...(275x60x15 on 8 in. rims)...

    ...Frank...:bouncy:

Hmm.. So, far I've liked the 4th leaf in the Grabber. I'll be getting the set from General Spring soon and will put them in the '73. We'll see if I like it. My complaint about all the stock springs is that they are terribly soft.
I'm sure the quality control on the JCW springs wasn't that great and there is some variance between them.
