Thanks for the pictures. No such parts on mine. Do I need them? Trim showed no tendency to fall off without them.
That makes sense. The glass did have a tendency to roll forward at the bottom. Guess I should have some on hand. If the trim ever has to come off I'd install them. Maybe they were discarded when someone changed the windshield.
my thinking is...it holds the seal off the pinch weld, that keeps it from cutting the seal between the glass and the frame from the weight of the glass...
while we are here... the molding clips #... D0DZ-6203174-C to do front/back glass...box of 50 these clips are...YELLOW ONLY...any other color will look like they will work, but won't... ...Frank... may need to move this thread to...tech.
Just be careful, the aftermarket (auevco) one's are junk, they are too thin, and collapse when you try and install the trim. If you look in the service manual, they actually show different sized clips in the corners, they are green. (From left to right) Aueveco 10625, Clip from another supplier, NOS Ford clip too small, NOS Maverick/Pinto Ford clip, Original Ford clip
