Ok, your wife's mother's sister's daughter dated somebody who knew Carroll Shelby's illegitimate step brother? Hell, you're practically related to Carroll!

:bananaman = Shelby's dad in Guadalajara

wouldn't the car in the picture be a "shelby Comet" look at the hood if i'm not mistaken those are a comet hood and grill, has anyone else noticed that?

i love it. shelby or not! the on hood tach rules. reminds me of my old gto.
i might do up my sons mav to be like this one. except have the rear spoiler from the new mustang, and some flip forward or reversing doors with shaved handles. have a 200r4 tranny with the gear vendors over drive so i can have an 8 speed maverick with the turbo v6. should be quick as hell and fast!!
(hopefully this post will kill the thread!)

The Mexican version looks suspiciously like a Comet with Maverick badging.
The hood and grill are Comet. The tail lights?
What else is there? The rest of the car is subjective but the largest part that seperates the two breeds is the distinctive hood shape. Add to it the Comet GT scoop and grill and it looks way more Comet than Maverick.

    Therefore.
I have decided that the Mexican Shelby Maverick is in fact a Mexican Shelby Comet that was mis labeled. The woman in the miniskirt is a hotty and I want the car.
