    Yes 1 3/4" with 3 1/2" collectors.:bananaman

You MUST relocate the oil filter to use these headers.

    Crites Headers

    M.A.V.

Thanks for the pics. I see that you notched your shock towers, but it seems these headers would clear with out the notched towers. I know the notched towers make it easier to change the plugs. The collectors, do they have to be welded on after installation? Or are they sort of a slip on and off type joint? Also will these type headers clear the Z bar and linkage for a 4 speed set up? Do they work with power steering and air? Thanks for any help you can give me on these questions.

    Thanks

Are they only making 351 swap headers?

Allen, I don`t` have any of your answers.

I cut and pasted those pics from another members post named "James Comet"

I DO NOT think it is necessary to cut the towers but Mine WILL be cut when the time comes.

I think the collectors are slip fit(maybe held by retaining springs?) because if you welded them you couldn`t get them back off the car.

Thanks for the response. It was my thoughts also about welding them, I could not see how you could get them back off once welded but was not sure if there was something I was not seeing. I will more than likely notch my towers also just for the ease of plug changes. :)

    Thanks

Personally, and this is just my opinion (you know what they say about those:rolleyes:) I think any gain in power that you get from the bigger primary tube will be offset by the abrupt exit out of the head. The exhaust gas is going to hit a wall there.

Stephen, I don`t like the "wall" either... But I figured they would flow better than dinged up (adjusted to fit ) Hooker 6208`s

I have wondered about this quite a bit actually.

Hey guys. I am going to call crites today and place the order. I will order for Me, Bill, Mike Vaughn, Jason Hughes, Allen Small, Jeff Wilson, and Tony Mangini. I will leave it up to you guys to call and pay for the them. If anyone else wants a set just call crites and add them to the order. I will tell crites this order is for the maverick/comet forum. Thanks for coming through and making this possible. Man it's going to save some headaches.
